Scientific Route OÜ is committed to upholding the highest standards of academic integrity and originality. As part of our editorial process, we rigorously examine all submitted manuscripts for any indications of plagiarism or duplicate publication. Our primary plagiarism detection tool is the specialized service iThenticate, which assesses manuscripts for unattributed borrowings.
Initial Screening: Upon manuscript submission to our editorial team, a comprehensive plagiarism check is performed. Manuscripts found to contain any form of plagiarism, without proper and unequivocal attribution, will be immediately rejected.
Post-Publication Detection: In the rare event that plagiarism is detected after an article's publication, our editors will conduct a thorough investigation and implement appropriate measures, guided by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) recommendations. These measures include:
-
Contacting Authors: We will reach out to the authors of the affected article to request official explanations.
-
Informing Institutions: The organizations with which the authors are affiliated will be notified of the plagiarism incident.
-
Indexing Resources: We will inform all relevant indexing resources about the identified plagiarism.
-
Article Marking: The affected article will be clearly marked with the term "PLAGIARISM" on all indexing resources.
-
Additional Sanctions: Depending on the extent of plagiarism, additional sanctions outlined in our License Agreement, regarding authorship guarantees, may be applied.
Self-Plagiarism: Manuscripts found to contain self-plagiarism will also not be considered for publication. We require a minimum uniqueness level of 80% for submitted manuscripts.
Post-Publication Detection of Self-Plagiarism: If self-plagiarism is discovered after an article's publication, we will undertake a similar investigative process, including:
-
Communication with Authors: Contacting the authors to request official explanations regarding the self-plagiarism.
-
Informing Indexing Resources: Notifying all relevant indexing resources about the detected self-plagiarism.
-
Article Marking: Clearly marking the affected article with the term "DUPLICATE" on all indexing resources.
Scientific Route OÜ is dedicated to maintaining the highest ethical standards in academic publishing, and we appreciate the cooperation of our authors in ensuring the originality and integrity of their submissions.
